Theatrebugs exhibiting at “Surviving Actors” this weekend!

Pop in and say hi to us this Saturday January 30th  from 10am to 4pm at Sway Bar and Restaurant, 61-65 Great Queen Street, London, WC2B 5BZ. We’ll be exhibiting at the “Surviving Actors” exhibition and looking out for actors with bucket loads of energy, enthusiasm and imagination to join our ever growing team of specialist teachers!

Oh yes;  even though the rain is battering at the windows here in Theatrebugs HQ our thoughts are on happier, sunnier times;and what could be happier or sunnier than our brand new and original children’s show “The Cupcake Fairy!”

This teddy bear’s picnic style mobile panto is specifically written for the nursery age group,performed by Theatrebugs trained,enhanced CRB checked actors and of course it is jam packed with song, rhyme, dance and lots of interaction for the children.

Bookings are now open! And just a reminder…that we are now also taking bookings for our Xmas 2010 panto too. We were completely sold out in 2009 and 80% of the nurseries have already rebooked their slot…so don’t miss out; book your slot today! Ho, ho, ho ;-)

“Counting” and “Back in Time” terms are under way!

This term our theme for our little Caterpillers (0-2 years) and Cocoons (2-3 years) is “Counting!”. They’ll bop along to Raffi’s “Number Rhumba” , meet Carla the Counting Cat and her friends;  the five little men in a flying saucer and the five speckled frogs. They’ll pop into the baker’s shop for some currant buns and count the Chinese Lantern’s for Chinese New Year!

Our Butterflies (3-5 years) will jump in a time machine and zoom all around the world going back in time to meet the dinosaurs! They’ll help quench the Great Fire of London, they’ll help build a bell for Emperor Yung Lo in Peking and they’ll chase the rats away from London! They’ll be very busy indeed!

Exciting Theatrebugs After School Clubs restart this week!

That’s right! Our now infamous after school adventure drama classes are back this term- more drama, music and dance than you can shake a stick at!

This term our bugs will be going “Back in Time!” meeting dinosaurs, wooly mammoths, escaping the fire of London, meeting the rats who caused the plague and much, much, more! They’ll waltz, do the lambeth walk and sing their hearts out to “The Queen of Hearts!”

Have a Bugtastic New Year!

Hopefully you had a relaxing and peaceful Christmas and are looking forward to all that 2010 has in store!

We, at the Bug Headquarters had a very busy December indeed!  Our sold out panto “Where is Santa!” completed its tour on December 21st at Gambados Playcentre. We’d like to say a big bug thank you to children, nursery managers, staff, parents and headteachers for all your lovely feedback on our show!

Of course, that’s not all we got up to in December 2009! Our now infamous holiday workshops were dotted across South London, spreading festive cheer to all who came; We spent the mornings singing, dancing, Christmas card making, playing festive games and of course solving some of the most important Christmas mysteries of all time! It goes without saying that the children saved the day and ….if it wasn’t for them Christmas 2009 just might not have happened!

Well; that is all for now. The Bugs are very excited about 2010! Very excited indeed…..
