Ruth Simpson's extensive experience with children spans over 20 years and includes work with children displaying behavioural and emotional difficulties, children with additional needs or at risk of social exclusion. Recently Ruth has managed two Sure Start children's centres. Her passion and belief in the inclusion and equal opportunities for all children has always been her driving force. Ruth is in the final phase of her post graduate degree in education.

Theatrebugs is a fabulous, fun and exciting way for our youngest citizens to connect with their natural curiosity, imagination, creativity and thirst for knowledge. I have experienced firsthand, the power that drama, music and dance has over the positive development and increased self esteem of young people. Through entertaining, fun filled structures Theatrebugs meets the criteria set out in Key Stage 1 and the EYFS and incorporates early years initiatives such as Every Child a Talker (ECaT) into every magical adventure! It is a joy to deliver the programmes knowing that we are giving every child the best chance to learn, develop and achieve!

I would have jumped at the chance for my children to regularly enjoy Theatrebugs. Alas, they have flown the nest. Maybe, one day, I can introduce my grandchildren to the joys of Theatrebugs!"
